7. The New Deal

In response to the Great Depression, President Franklin D Roosevelt launched a series of programs and reforms collectively known as the New Deal. These were designed to help Americans recover from the economic crisis and get back on their feet.

The New Deal included a variety of programs such as Social Security, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the Works Progress Administration. These initiatives helped to create jobs and stimulate the economy, providing relief for countless people in need. The New Deal also created new regulations on banks and businesses while protecting labor rights, helping to prevent future economic disasters.
